Hi, nice to meet you! My name is Diya Khanna (she/her).
I am a Global Diversity Equity Inclusion consultant, facilitator, speaker with 20 year’s experience in profit, nonprofit, and tech.
My life-long mission is to increase access and opportunity of people across race, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity, accessibility, sexual orientation, social class, military, status, religion, age, and language in every professional industry. I have worked across the globe as a DEI consultant, notably in Canada, Japan, Singapore, Germany, and the US.
I am a proven subject matter expert and is known for big vision and tactical implementation. I previously created DEI programs, strategies, policies at Amazon, where I led CORE+ (Conversations on Race and Ethnicity), an annual internal conference for 1.3 million employees. I have developed global work plans for 14 Employee Resource Groups and led courses on the Future of Work, How To Bring DEI to Any Organization, and a DEI Roadmap for 15 Chief Diversity Officers.
I have also been a DEI columnist for The Seattle Times and have published papers on Anti-Racism Curriculum and Multicultural Education. I was a member of the Asians@Amazon global board, and was appointed to the Seattle Women’s Commission in 2018. I was also the instructor for a 6 week / 12 session course for 60 DEI managers globally with ELVTR. Students received a DEI certificate once they completed their assignments.
I earned my Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University and my Masters of Education with a focus on Curriculum Development from the University of Toronto.
